AQUABEST TO LAUNCH NEW TECHNOLOGY AT FRANCHISE SHOW

Aquabest, the country’s leading water refilling franchise will join the 2014 Franchise Asia Philippines.

The company is a long time member of the Philippine Franchise Association and is considered to be among the leading players in the water franchising industry. The company is set to highlight its new “Nanogen” nanotechnology water filtration system.

The company is the country’s first refilling station franchise to utilize nanotechnology in its filtration process. “Nanogen” is a Korean developed water filtration system that ensures a high level of water purity while at the same time providing additional health benefits.

The filters utilize carbon nanotubes with diameters of a few nanometers – one nanometer is one millionth of a millimeter. Carbon nanotubes are cylindrical molecules of carbon that possess an extremely high surface area that allow them to collect contaminants more efficiently than the commonly used activated carbon.

Aside from this the “Nanogen” filters also help neutralize the inherent acidity of pure water. Acidic water is seen by some to be a contributing factor to certain diseases and ailments. The carbon nanotubes have been observed to help neutralize the ph level of the water and give it a neutral ph level while retaining the purity of the water.

Apart from its new technology, the company is also looking to continue its expansion particularly in rural areas which have the potential to drive the company’s growth “We are looking at the possibility further expanding in provincial areas particularly for our sub brands Aquaquest and Aquaspree since these concepts are better suited to penetrate these emerging markets” says Carson Tan CEO of GQWEST Inc. the mother company of Aquabest.
